Feast Your Eyes On This Australian Rolex Submariner, For Top Blokes Only

As far as time pieces are concerned, a green and gold affair is made complete by Rolex.

There’s a reason Watches & Wonders Geneva sends ripples throughout the timepiece industry. New styles and watches make appearances like celebrities waltzing down the red carpet at the Oscars. Whispers and rumours spread like wildfire, and guessing games transform into detective work—all so we can get the jump on the latest luxury timepieces.

When it comes to conjecture and rumours alike, Rolex typically is the brand most people try to pry open like a clam. The God’s of time create a whirlwind of speculation this time of the year, and thanks to the horological geniuses at Monochrome Watches, we have ourselves an all-star Aussie crown. Their latest mockups showcase a two-tone version of the Rolex Submariner ‘Hulk’ that encompasses Australian colours.

The ref. 116610LV, otherwise known as the ‘Hulk’ is one of the most outlandish and bold Rolex released over the last couple of years. It made its debut in 2010 and has since been recognised as one of the most sought after timepieces in the industry. Since the pandemic Rolex watches have skyrocketed in price, with the next show in Geneva around the corner watch collectors and enthusiasts alike will be adamant to get their hands on any new Rolex designs.

“We know that Rolex is, by and large, a rather conservative watchmaker. Yet, on some occasions, the brand can be bold. And Rolex does play a lot with materials and colour combinations… This combination of a Rolesor case/bracelet with a bright green dial and bezel is undoubtedly striking. Still, it is certainly in line with some of the brand’s more colourful and daring launches of late,” Monochrome Watches‘ Brice Goulard.
