You may mistake it for a yacht, we wouldn’t blame you for it.
Mercedes has always primed the S-Class to feature as one of its most lux vehicles amongst the brand’s name, and now we have a peak inside the 2021 edition that promises everything anyone could dream of. When we think S-Class, we think executive, and a chauffeur’s dream ride. The S-Class will enter its seventh generation, and features five screens,two in the front and three in the back.
Five screens, like one or two isn’t enough? Mercedes has hinted at the S-Class being a ‘third place’ or ‘refuge’ in between work and home. In other words, made for Mark Zuckerberg or Brad Pitt,escape the cameras, or hold private meetings on-the-go.
We dare say during COVID, it looks like it could be your primary residence. The new S-Class will feature an interior with an ‘elegant airiness’ and ‘lounge characteristics’ as described by a press release from Mercedes.
The interior has also drawn inspiration from yacht designs, drawing on sea elements, where open-pore wood veneers and authentic aluminium inlays are sprawled all over the design.
The dashboard in particular stands out with its new architecture, modern surface design and ergonomic display arrangement. But the feel-good aspect goes even further: with optimal ride quality, low noise levels and an extensive range of comfort programs to ‘look after the well- being of its passengers.’
The seventh generation of S-Class will keep a consistent use of LED technology enabling interactive interior lighting,the standard active ambient lighting will be integrated into driving assistance systems and will reinforce alerts visually.
For example, Active Blind Spot Assist will provide a visual warning of an impending collision with a red light animation. Additionally, visual feedback will also be possible when operating the climate control system or the ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice assistant.
