Take A Tour Through Drake’s Toronto Luxury Pad The Embassy

Started from the Bottom, Now He’s Here.

Across 2 acres of Toronto real-estate is where artist Drake has built ‘The Embassy’.

Dubbed by the home’s co-creator, Canadian designer Ferris Rafauli, ‘The Embassy’ is 50,000 square feet of custom-built marble, bronze and crystal infrastructure.

A grand entrance, 10 car garage, and black granite pool are some of the R&B god’s plans, transforming the then 27-year-old’s 2015 $6.7 million purchase into a $100 million estate.

6-meter-tall trees are rumoured to have cost over $1million to line the custom-built fence; the City of Toronto granted the singer permission to build twice as high as regulations usually allow.

The “Awards room”,; a grand hallway of framed sports jerseys, opens to ‘the OVO Center’; an NBA regulation-sized basketball court finished with a 21 square-foot pyramidal skylight.

Kaws statues wait in the mansion’s entrance, accompanied by 50,000 Swarovski crystals that form part of the custom bronze-and-solid-marble chandelier.

“Because I was building in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel,” Drake told Architectural Digest.

“It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong.”

All the furnishings are custom designed by Rafauli and cater to an acquired taste and include materials such as dyed ostrich skin, mohair to Macassar, bronze and lots of marble.

More than a ‘California King Bed’ has pride of place in Drake’s favourite room; literally weighing a ton this custom creation will set you back the average price of a mere mortal’s home.

Mother of pearl lined nightstands, antique mirrors at the helm, custom Alexander McQueen tapestry and a whiskey-and-champagne bar on the reverse side will surely guarantee sweet dreams.

“The bedroom is where I come to decompress from the world at the end of the night and where I open my eyes to seize the day,” he told Architectural Digest; with 3,200-square-feet of master-bedroom and an additional 1,100-square-feet of the terrace, there’s a lot of room for activities.

After a long day in his home recording studio Drake can soak the stress away in a hand-carved 4,000-pound black marble tub; carved from a single block.

Forget a walk-in robe Drake has a two-story one; finished with amethyst hardware, crystals and diamond-tufted shearling, whatever that means.

We believe the four-time Grammy award winner has succeeded in his mission to create a closet that makes you want to talk to yourself whilst getting dressed, where a precious Hermes Birkin bag collection has pride of place, accompanied by the latest designer fashions and a notable shoe collection.

When your world revolves around music you can’t just buy any piano and Drake is no exception.

A bespoke concert grand piano takes pride of place under 44-foot high ceilings and a Viennese hand-cut chandelier that showcases 20,000 Swarovski crystals.

Fans first got a sneak peek inside ‘The Embassy’ when the artist danced through his creation for the ‘Toosie Slide’s’, music video.
