After what has been one of the longest border closures in Australian history, Victorians are now allowed to travel to Sydney, and Sydneysiders are now allowed to travel to Melbourne. To celebrate this coming together, the Star Hotel is offering Victorians a one night stay for one dollar, from 5pm tonight.
They are calling it the “$1 Border Buster” only 100 Superior King Rooms will be exclusively available to Victorians, so you best be quick about your business.
It’s quite simple really, the $1 booking will only be valid for anyone with a valid Victorian ID, which you must show at check-in. Anyone looking to ice this deal will need to be one of the first 100 callers through to the hotel at 5pm (AEST), via a special number which will only be revealed online once bookings open.
There are a few other fine details that apply, make sure you check everything before picking up the phone and ringing away. You are limited to one room for the $1 deal, so no cheating, stay dates are only available Sunday through to Friday, leaving fifteen possible dates to lock this in.
Stop reading, you have ten minutes to get yourself sorted. Aside from those simple stipulated rules, you’ll be required to pay a $100 per night bond upon check-in.
