James is currently leading the Lakers in a playoff series where they are up 2-0 against the Miami Heat, which will see James and his Lakers outfit close the NBA playoff series as champions.
While James is hooping his way to glory, the NBA star has splashed an impressive $36.75 million on a gigantic Beverly Hills mansion. The Mediterranean-style castle covers 2.5 acres, and boasts everything one might expect in a Beverly Hills mansion. This is James’ third Los Angeles pad in the Brentwood area, and the property was once owned by Howard Hughes,an eccentric billionaire.
Among luxury features such as a tennis court, oval swimming pool and large entertainment areas, the property boasts a theatre with a fireplace perfect for winter nights. Of course an LA pad wouldn’t be complete without a pool house, sitting adjacent from the swimming pool.
Besides a luxurious driveway lined with cypress trees, stone fountain and towering palm trees, the LA mansion encompasses vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and dining areas with a plethora of natural light. Sitting on the 2.5 acres the James family have ensured plenty of space for Anthony Davis to stay the night, with two guesthouses detached from the property.
The property has come along way since its origins, built in the 1930s where it was first owned by the Oscar-nominated actor, Charles Boyer. Its property value may have nabbed the mansion at a great price, given it was priced at $39m back in June.
