Here Are The Victorian Suburbs Back On The Stage 3 Restriction List

It’s the Dan Andrews wine mixer. And it’s here until the end of July. Well, for some suburbs.

We hate to say it, but as of a few hours ago, some Victorian suburbs will be on lockdown once again. It honestly feels like we are living in a sci-fi film once again. Suburbs closed off, others free to move as they please.

The crackdown arrives as Covid-19 cases continue to rise in Victoria. It seemed we were almost out of the woods, as they say… given the latest spike in cases, restrictions will be in place for certain suburbs. Cafes will be takeaway only, gyms and pools, aka leisure centres, will be closed once again (we weren’t joking about training while you could).

Police will conduct regular patrols across Victoria to ensure people are doing the right thing.

If you live in one of the listed suburbs, you are, unfortunately, back on Dan Andrew’s hit-list.

Brooklyn, Kingsville, Maidstone, Tottenham, West Footscray, Albanvale, Kealba, Kings Park, St Albans, Ascot Vale, Highpoint City, Maribyrnong, Travancore, Keilor Downs, Keilor Lodge, Taylors Lakes, Watergardens, Airport West, Keilor Park, Niddrie, Glenroy, Hadfield, Oak Park, Broadmeadows, Dallas, Jacana, Brunswick South, Brunswick West, Moonee Vale, Moreland West, Fawkner, Craigieburn, Donnybrook, Mickleham, Roxburgh Park, and Kalkallo.

School will return as planned, from July 13. If you do live in one of these suburbs, instructions are, to not leave home unless you need supplies, or exercise. Basically, it’s back to the drawing board for the next four weeks.

“My message to everyone in restricted postcodes is this: I know this will be terribly disruptive and difficult but if everyone sticks to the rules and we see transmission come down, then in four weeks the restrictions can lift,” Dan Andrew’s statement this afternoon.

“And for everyone outside these zones: please, be smart, be safe and pay attention to the directions. If you don’t then your local area might be next into lockdown and no one wants that,” he added.
