Sydney is about to channel serious Dubai vibes.

When it comes to snow, we aren’t the country boasting with mountains covered in soft white powder. Sydney’s Blue Mountains maintain a semi-consistent dump each year, while Victoria’s Mt Buller does its best each year to keep snow enthusiasts returning for more. These places are by no stretch a winter wonderland, but now Sydney will attempt to change the course of your apres-ski desires with a $300 million indoor ski resort located in Penrith.

An Australian first state-of-the-art Winter Sports World will deliver a 300-metre run for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Hold up, it doesn’t stop there, the development enveloping more than two hectares will incorporate a 4.5 star luxury hotel fitted with 120 rooms. Cosy seating lounges, fireplaces will make the best coco and winter cocktails for those wishing to join in on the fun from a distance. The lounge area will overlook the 300 metre run while an Olympic sized ice skating rink as well as ice and rock climbing activities will make even the oldest soul feel young again.

The 4.5 stars won’t arrive without cafes, bars and restaurants right through the luxury winter palace. When will this be ready you ask? a completion date of 2024 is what we are working with at the moment. The project is set to inject more than $80 million into the local economy each year.
